Elizabeth "Lib" Cornwell Taylor
Mrs. Elizabeth "Lib" Cornwell Taylor, age 93 of Lincoln Nursing Center and formerly of West Highway 150 in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center-Lincoln.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Episcopal Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born on August 26, 1916 in Lincoln County to the late Lewis Guy and Carrie Hewitt Cornwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Taylor; two brothers, L.G. Cornwell, Jr. and Joe Billy Cornwell; two sisters, Alma Moss and Lorene Elmore.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Cornwell and wife Betty of Cherryville, Walter Cornwell and wife Fon of Hickory; one sister, Betty Cornwell Schrum of Lincolnton; a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 315 North Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
