Mary F. Beierle, 74, of Holland Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Germany, July 31, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kaufmann Mayerhofer. She graduated from Meyers High School. She was formerly employed in the local silk mills and at the Penn State Belt and Buckle Company, Wilkes-Barre Township for many years. She was a member of St. Boniface Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church's Senior Citizens Club, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the D.A.V. Chapter 102, Kingston, and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 0463, Plymouth. She and her husband, Stanley E., celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary this past June. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Mayerhofer, in 1951. Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughters Mrs. Robert (Marlene) Avery, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Michael (Donna) Orzechowski, Wilkes-Barre; son, John, Hanover Township; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister Bertha Mayerhofer, Wilkes-Barre; several nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Boniface Church, Blackman Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. T. Timothy Delaney and Msgr. Joseph G. Rauscher officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
