The Salmon Arm Observer, June 5, 1996
Obituary:
Donald Reuben Codd died suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 28, 1996 at the age of 31 years.
Reuben was born in salmon arm on July 20, 1964 and had been a life-time resident of the Shuswap. In his short life Reuben amassed more friends than a person that had lived a long life. He was always helping others, rescuing man, woman or animals.
He loved music very much and worked hard at helping to organize his band, Handoverfist. There are people that owe their lives to Reuben and many animals at his home on the farm were rescued and brought there by him. His quiet courage strength of spirit, creativity and sense of humour will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.
Reuben is survived by his brother, Doug Codd of Tappen; sisters, Cindy (Larry) Anderson and children Shane and Tanya; Sharon (Brian) Robinson and children, Jason, Sandy and Clinton; Cathy (Kris) Semchuk and daughter Stephanie; his mother, Maxine codde; loving companion Tracey whitehead and her daughter Amy;
He was predeceased by by his father Julian Codd, grandfather Wes Miller, Grandmother Rose Miller, Grand father Ed. Cood and by his uncle Bill Hearn.

The funeral service was held from the chapel of bowers Funeral Home on Monday, June 3rd at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Jesse Houghton officiating. Words of solace were presented by James Walton.
Pallbearers were, Brian Hlina, James Walton, Jason Baughn, Kelly Buckmaster, Randy Derby and Ernie Holz. Oliver Mikunda acted as an honorary Pallbearer.
In memory of Reuben, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, B.C.
