Throughout his life, he was active in the community by being a Boy Scout leader, a little league coach, the March of Dimes, Census Bureau, Volunteer on Income Tax - Adams County, Meals on Wheels, and United Way. He also served as a captain in the 199th Combat Engineers Battlion. John was an avid golfer, Square Dancer, Destinations Unknown. He worked at Gates Rubber Company as a Hydraulic Engineer.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Patsy, sister Janet Sinnock, son Kerry (Lynn), two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Services, Thurs., 11AM, Highland Mortuary. Interment, Highland Cemetery. Donations may be made to Denver Hospice or Clear Creek Care Center. Published in Denver Post on May 5, 2009
