Mrs. Helen Barker, 84, of Inverness, FL, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Avante in Inverness. Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness was in charge of the arrangements. She was a kindergarten teacher, having retired from the Citrus County School System in 1979 with more than 20 years of service. She was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Inverness.
Born April 18, 1918, in Alpine, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Marcia (Ledford) Carlock.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence S. Barker, Inverness; a brother, John Carlock, Livingston; a half-brother, Everel Carlock, Whitley City, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
