Stella Arvizu Herrera, of Benson, died May 27, 2009 in Tucson at the age of 61. She was born in Tucson on Feb. 11, 1948 to Juan V. and Adela Ortega Arvizu. Stella was a homemaker and a Christian. She married Johnny Herrera 37 years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny, and sons, Ronny, J.D. (Tammy) and Michael (Jamie) all of Benson and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Rachel Arvizu, Elidia (Eliseo) Ferrel, both of Willcox, Jessie (Richard) Marquez of San Simon, Melva (Rudy) Romero of Willcox, Sally (Juan) Moreno of Texas and Gracie (Oscar) Murillo of Willcox and her brothers, Johnny (Marie), Raymond (Mary) both of Willcox, Jerry (Peggy) of Mt. View, Calif. and Tony of Willcox. Preceding her in death were her parents, most recently her mother on May 6, 2009.
Visitation was held at Westlawn Chapel on Monday, June 1, 2009. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church in Willcox. Burial followed in Sunset Cemetery.
Services were entrusted to Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematorium of Willcox, Ariz."
