Earl Lester Allman, Jr was born January 20, 1934 in Concord, Contra Costa County, California. Known within the family as "Junior", he was the second son of Earl Lester and Edna Earl (Higgs) Allman. From the News-Pilot 27 Jan 1934, page 2:
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lester Allman, 2411 Leland street, a son, January 20, at San Pedro hospital. Weight 7 pounds, ½ ounce.
Earl graduated from Narbonne High School. After high school, he attended Harbor Junior College. At the time of his enlistment in the U. S Navy in August 1952, he was employed in the San Pedro printing shop. In July 1953, Earl was stationed at the Naval Aeronautical Technological Center in Memphis, Tennessee as an electrician, 2nd class.
While stationed in Memphis, Tennessee, Earl met Frances Bivens. They were married there on the fourth of July 1953. Frances Louise (Odum) Bivens was born in 1929, in Monroe, Mississippi County, Arkansas, the daughter of Jessie Richard and Bonnie Lavelle (Leslie) Odum. She had previously been married to Bobby K. Bivens. Earl and Francis had one daughter. Earl and Francis divorced and she then married James R. Yount in 1955. Francis died in 1989 in Union City, Obion County, Tennessee.
Earl then married Donna Mae Campbell on September 10, 1955, in Reno, Washoe County, Nevada. Donna was born March 8, 1935, in Salinas, Monterey County, California, the daughter of Charles Stone and Donna Mae (Walker) Campbell. Earl and Donna had three sons and one daughter. Earl and Donna divorced in 1971, in Orange County, California. Donna then married Louis Donat Jean. She died October 1, 2014, in Mountain Home, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Earl married his third wife; Lorraine M. (Klosinski) McAvoy on July 17, 1971, in San Diego, San Diego County, California. Loraine was born October 31, 1925. She had been previously married to Paul O. McAvoy and had at least one child. Earl and Lorraine divorced in December 1973 in San Diego County, California. Lorraine died January 3, 2010, in El Cajon, San Diego County, California.
Earl married his fourth wife; Joan Frances (Taylor) Thibault on July 6, 1974, in California. Joan was born February 17, 1932, in West Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, the daughter of Harry Valentine and Theresa Frances (Culkin) Taylor. She had been previously married to Joseph Norman Thibault. Earl and Joan divorced in March 1982, in Orange County, California. Joan died October 20, 1994, in Orange County, California.
Earl married his fifth wife; Barbara J. (Pieters) Kennedy on December 31, 1981, in Ventura County, California. Barbara was born November 21, 1938, in Alhambra, Los Angeles County, California. She had been previously married to Richard F. Kennedy. Earl and Barbara divorced in May 1984, in Virginia.
Earl married his sixth wife; Dolores Ann (Cesarini) 1) Brennan, 2) Burgess on May 12, 1984, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Dolores was born February 2, 1937, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harold and Anna (Damiani) Cesarini. Both Earl and Dolores reported on their “marriage return” that this was their third marriage.
Earl and Dolores were still married when he died on September 2, 1996, in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Dolores died March 23, 2015, in Chadds, Ford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. She was buried with Earl at Arlington National Cemetery.
