J. PERRY ALVEY, of Galveston, Texas, chief engineer and commissioner of the Booneville Dam, Washington State, died on Wednesday, March 2, in Boston, Mass.
A graduate of the University of Texas and M.I.T., Boston Mass., Mr. Alvey was a nephew of the late Judge Richard A. Alvey, of Hagerstown.
During World War I he served as Captain in the U.S. Army Engineers.
Besides his wife, Rose Burns Alvey, of Chicago; surviving are sister, Mrs. Alexander Wilson, the former, Jane Alvey, of San Antonio, Texas and brother, Carroll Alvey, Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services with full military honors were held on March 7 at the Arlington National Cemetery.
