Decatur Review 12/26/1921

Death came suddenly to Mrs.Ida A. Barr of 327 S.Franklin street Sunday evening. Mrs.Barr had been one of the guests at a Christmas dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plumer, Jr on S.Webster street. Later in the evening she started home and had got within a block of he house when she became ill. She went up to the porch at the Harpstrite home and sat down. Those in the house saw her and had her come into the house.She had been there but a few moments when she died.
Mrs. Barr was the widow of Charles Barr. She had lived in Decatur for many years and was well known among the old residents.She was a member of the Methodist church and had many friends.
She was the mother of Amza Barr,who recently moved to Portland, Orge. She also leaves a daughter, Miss louise Barr,now in Grand Rapid Michigan, a sister Mrs.john Wiegand who is spending the winter in California and the late Mrs.A. J. Dunston was also a sister.
The body was taken to the Moran & Sons undertaking establishment.
Relatives at a distance have been notified and the arrangements of the funeral will not be completed until they are heard from.
