WILLIAM BALZ

William T. Balz, 81, of 909 Seventh Street, Kiel, died Saturday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he had been a patient for the past five days.
He was born November 10, 1899, in the Town of Schleswig, a son of John and Louisa Reichert Balz. He attended district school.
He married Laura Dedering July 7, 1928, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig. They farmed the Balz Homestead farm in the Town of Schleswig until retirement in 1972, when they moved to Kiel. Mr. Balz was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Adeline) Schmitz, of Kiel, Marion Balz and Mrs. Eugene (Rachel) Rabe, both of Sheboygan; one son, Jerome of rural Kiel; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Otto Reichwaldt of Kiel.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel. The Reverend John Baumann, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville.
