Mrs. Ella May Nelson Rites Are Set Sunday
Services for Mrs. Ella May Nelson, 90-year-old Elk Cityan, 322 N. Adams, will be held at 3 P.M.. m. Sunday in Martin-Hullum funeral chapel with Ministers J. C. Spurlin Reydon, and A. H. Howell, Elk City, officiating.
Mrs. Nelson was born Jan 16, 1867, in Neosho county, Kan. And died in a local rest home Thursday, March 14, after an illness of six weeks.
She was married to J. T. Nelson in Elk City in 1918 and had lived in Elk City since Oct. 11, 1901. She had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1888.
Survivors include a step-grand-daughter, Mrs. Mable Stevens, of Fairview, and a niece, Mrs. Bertha Whaley, now living in Florida, several other nieces and nephews survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dec. 2, 1926, her father when she was one year old and when she was four years of age her mother died. Also a sister and brother preceded her in death.
Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery with Martin-Hullum funeral home directing arrangements.
