The body of William C. Naugle, age 61, Jacksonville contractor, who had been missing since Christmas Day when his overturned boat was noted drifting in Cowpen Lake, was found last Friday by Deputy Raymond Bryan, who was patrolling the lake looking for the body.
Naugle left Jacksonville on Christmas Eve, stating that he was going on a fishing and hunting trip, but not giving his destination. When the upset boat was noted on Cowpen Lake by a passer-by, and a parked car was found by the side of the lake, an investigation disclosed that the Duval car number was in the name of William C. Naugle of Jacksonville, Sheriff D. C. Hayes and his deputies began their search of the lake, finally resulting in finding the body by Deputy Bryan as above noted.
