OBIT: Marion, Ind- Sarah E Allen, 94, Bradner Village, died at 5:30 pm Sunday, April 15, 1984, in Marion General Hospital. She was born in Grant County, July 25, 1889, to Lewis and Liza [Downey] Shockey. She was a lifelong resident of Sims and a member of Swayzee United Methodist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Norma Allen and Carol Patterson, both of Sims, Ordath Smith of Gas City, Dorothy Landis of Logansport, and Wilma Davis of Okochobee, Fla; a son, Charles Allen of La Fontaine; 18 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren and 29 great great grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday in Rybolt Funeral Home, 314 N Washington St, Swayzee. the Rev Carl Sweet will officiate and burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Amboy. Friends may call from 2 to 9 pm today at the mortuary.
