Marley Richard Chesky was born and raised in Wisconsin and he loved it there.
He joined the Navy and was stationed in Orange, Texas where he met my sister, June. After they married he was transferred to Norfolk, Virgina and when he was discharged from the Navy he wanted to get back to his beloved Wisconsin.
Although his name was Marley, we always knew him as Mike and I think most people called him Mike also.
He was raised on the family farm in Grand Marsh, Adams County, Wisconsin. After his parents passed, his sister Lois and Brother-in-Law, Jess lived on the family farm and raised their children there. The farm has since been passed to Mike's nephews, Lois & Jess's son, Gary & Grandson Matt, as depicted in the photo of the continuous family ownership for over 100 years.
