Ivanhoe Resident Dies in Bonham Hospital Today
Mrs. Earthulia Freeman, 78, a long-time resident of the Ivanhoe community, died at M&S Hospital, Bonham, at 3:20 o'clock this morning following an extended illness.
Mrs. Freeman was born Feb. 22, 1872 in Tennessee and came to Texas when she was 18 years of age. Since coming to Texas, she had resided in the Ivanhoe community.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John Bruner, Ivanhoe; Mrs. Coy Walker, Ravenna; Mrs. Marson Owen, Honey Grove; Mrs. Gene Batten, Sunday; two sons, Clarence Freeman and Ross Freeman, both of Ivanhoe, Rt. 1; a brother, William Hayes, Bonham; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the New Hope Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. J. M. Weaver, Methodist minister from Ravenna, officiated. Interment will be in the New Hope cemetery with Cooper directing.
Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Whisenhunt, Preston Oliver, Henry Holland, Ray Phillips, Jeff Groves and Herman Duncan.
