Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Huff, 89, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 18, 1994, from the Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville. Rev. Otho Lee Dennis, Dr. Fred Fowler, and Rev. A.M. LaPrairie officiated. Interment was made in the Polkville Cemetery in Morton. Mrs. Huff passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 1994, at the Scott Regional Hospital in Morton following an extended illness. A native of Smith County, she was a longtime resident of the Polkville Community. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God in Polkville. Survivors include one son. Garland Huff of Polkville; four sisters, Mrs. Lola Mae Alford and Mrs. Myrna Lee Gray, both of Jackson, Mrs. Eula McCuller of Clinton, and Mrs. Evelyn McCallister of Ft. Smith, AR; two brothers, Clifton Easterling of Polkville and Horace Easterling of Morton; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larkin Huff. Pallbearers were Lewis Purvis, Marty Gray, Jerry Alford, Gary Daniels, D.C. Banes, and Billy Allen. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
