Frank Joseph Sattur, age 70, of Wellsboro(Tioga, Pa) was found dead in his hotel room at the Penn Wells Hotel, Sunday, February 20, 1972 at 12:15 pm. The maid at the hotel had tried unsuccessfully the previous day to get Mr. Sattur to answer her knock at the door. The following day there was no answer either. The hotel desk clerk notified the local police station and upon investigation of the room, Mr. Sattur was found dead, slumped on the bathroom floor, presumably of natural causes. Mr. Sattur has resided at the hotel for sometime. He had also been a recent patient at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. He was born December 28, 1901 in Wallington, New Jersey and was a retired Warrant Officer of World War II. Survived by his wife Kathryn Dartt Sattur of Rockland, Massachusetts; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Tussey Funeral Home with the Right Rev. Harry T. Frownfelter officiating. Burial in Arlington National Cemetery.
