A native of Nebraska, he was the son of the late Nelson and Erline Taylor. He retired from the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 327, Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Taylor; a brother, James Lynn Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Linda Cathleen McGee of Nebraska; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Internment will be in the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Kidney Foundation.
