Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Barry Queen officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
She was a native of Hillsville, Va. and a retired teacher with the Virginia Public Schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Women at her church and the widow of Lester Ray Wingfield.
Surviving is daughter, Dora Potts of Asheboro; and three grandchildren.
The family will be at Pugh Funeral Home, Asheboro, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday; other times at the home of her daughter, 746 Viewmont Avenue, Asheboro.
