Memorial services will be held for Dr. Douglas Lim Abadco at Women's & Children's Hospital on Monday, July 9 in the Woman's Foundation Classroom, Building A, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, and Lafayette General Medical Center on Tuesday, July 10 from 6 - 8 PM in the First Floor Bistro. A private family memorial will also be held in his honor.
Dr. Douglas L. Abadco lost his battle against cancer on July 2, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center. A native of Manila, Philippines, Dr. Abadco lived and worked as a pediatric pulmonologist and intensivist in New York, Monroe, and Baton Rouge, before coming to Lafayette 7 years ago. He was admired by his patients, colleagues, co-workers, and friends, whom he cared for deeply, as well. He was a devoted and loving father to his two children, a beloved son and brother.

He is survived by his parents, David and Lilian Abadco of Manila; a sister, Desiree Saw of Manila; a brother, Delfin Abadco of Manila; another sister, Dulce Courtney of California; and his family, Doreen, Darleen, and Dustin of Lafayette.
