ABRAHAMSE (nee Vandenbrink), Jannetje (Netty) - passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her four loving children on Wednesday March 3, 2010 in her 84th year. Jannetje was a graceful, courageous, elegant, and strong woman. Her wit, great sense of humour, and tireless compassion for others will always be a source of inspiration for our family. Mom/Oma dances once again in heaven with beloved husband "Jack" Jacob Abrahamse. She is the loving mother of Vincent (Adrienne), Martha, Andrew (Tammy), and Loretta (Brian Mulligan). Oma will be sadly missed by her 8 grandchildren, Amanda, Milissa and Eve Mulligan, Jacob, Hannah and Noah Abrahamse, and Sabrina and Michael Abrahamse. A celebration of Netty's life will be held on Wednesday March 10 at 2 pm at Mark Street United Church, 90 Hunter Street East. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2 pm and a fellowship luncheon will follow the service. A beautiful, private graveside service took place March 4th at Highland Park Cemetery. Donations in memory of Netty can be made to St. Michael's Hospital, floor 2 Queen, in Toronto, Ontario. 11846685
