Ivan Monreth Faubion was born on June 17, 1925 and passed from this life Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the age of 84. He was a life-long resident of rural Mustang and his greatest joy in life was his role as a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
In 1942 he joined the US Navy and served in the Pacific during WWII. In 1980 he retired from a civil service job at Tinker AFB and devoted his time to his farm and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; his parents Monreth and Lou Faubion; three brothers Ollie, Lee and Elmer; and sister Gladys Eby.
He is survived by son Earl Faubion and wife Charlotte of Oklahoma City; and daughter Monte Branscum and husband Maurice of Mustang. Also by seven grandchildren, Darin Branscum; Tracy Brown; Jon Faubion and wife Deborah; Tony Faubion; Bryan Ruiz and wife Garla; Scott Ruiz and wife Cheryl; and Michael Norman and wife Wendy; and seven great-grandchildren Marc, Bradley, Kylie and Christopher Ruiz, Tayler and Mason Branscum, and Morgan Faubion.
