Donnetta L. Porter, age 60, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born in Xenia, on May 26, 1949, the daughter of Alvin and Margaret (Hill) Porter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Norma Joanne McGee; and brothers: Gregory L. Porter and Alvin Porter III.
She is survived by her children: Dale (Jennifer) Porter, Deondra Porter and De'Adra Johnson, all of Xenia; sisters: Sharon (Richard) Scott of Xenia; Denise (James) Clark and Darlene (Jerry) Johnson, both of Fairborn; and Belinda (Wayne) Nared of Xenia; grandchildren: De'von, Dale Jr., Darionna, Dakara Porter, Ahmaad Goldsmith, Jason Hall, Antonio Olvera, and Daia Nelson Aunts: Jackie (Omekere) Odje, Pastor Francis Hill and Dorothy Randolph; Uncles: Larry (Rose) Windsor, Charles Porter and Richard Porter; many friends including special friend: Liz Robbins and Margaret White Fitzpatrick; Spiritual Mother: Edith Skinner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Bethel Temple Church. Ms. Porter graduated from Cedarville High School and was employed with Central State University.
Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Bethel Temple Church, 914 E. Third St., Xenia with Elder Marvin Graves. Internment to follow in Cherry Grove Cemetery, Xenia.
