SPICELAND, Ind., Jan. 25 - Mrs. Mattie Brown, aged 73, died Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home south of here. She had been ill for some time but was not in a serious condition until Friday when pneumonia developed. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Alice Broadbent, and one son, Richard Broadbent.
The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will take place at Circle Grove.

The death of Mrs. Mattie Brown, which occurred at her home south of town about two o'clock yesterday afternoon was a shock to her friends, most of whom were not aware that her illness was thought to be serious, although she had been confined to her bed for the past five weeks. Pneumonia developed last Friday and in her weakened condition she was unable to rally. She was 73 years of age and leaves two children, a son, Richard Broadbent, and a daughter, Alice Broadbent.

SPICELAND, Ind., Jan. 26 - The funeral of Mrs. Mercer Brown, who died at her home Sunday afternoon, after a long illness, was held at the home this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment was made at Circle Grove.
