Dennis was the son of Charles Devodie Burdeaux and Bertha Magdaline Hudson. He was married to Josephine Price Alexander on 18 Oct, 1947. She had two sons from a previous marriage. Tombstone lists his name as Dennis Homer but Homer Dennis was his birthname.

OBITUARY: Dennis H. Burdeaux, age 90, of Saucier, passed away on
February 28, 2010 in Gulfport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Burdeaux; his parents; and a son, Maurice Alexander. He is survived by his son, John Alexander, Sr and his wife, Beverly, of Saucier; two grandchildren, Dawn Griffin and her husband, Eddie, and John Alexander, Jr and his wife, Mary, all of Saucier; four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Ina Green of Houston, TX; a brother, Perry Burdeaux of Nacogdoches, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, and retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was a member of Saucier United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Saucier United Methodist Church, Saucier, MS where family and friends may visit from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial with military honors will follow at Saucier Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
