Jim Threet was a graduate of Thompson High School in Siluria and Alabama College - The University of Montevallo, where he was a member of Theta Sigma Chi fraternity. He was employed with Earnest McCarty Ford and previously worked in the insurance business for many years. His funeral services were held October 2, at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Frances Threet. Survivors include Mary Elder of Pelham; sisters Nida Threet of Leeds, Gibbie Threet Habshey and husband John of Birmingham; Mary's children; nephews; aunts and uncles.
