Nathaniel Jeb R. Haveran, age 69 of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He is the beloved husband of 47 years of Angela (Franco) Haveran. Jeb was born in East Lyme on November 13, 1940, and was raised by his stepparents, the late John and Elizabeth Sheehy. He was a lifelong resident of Shelton. Jeb served his country with the National Guard, and worked as a locksmith for more than 33 years at Sikorsky before retiring in 2003. He was very active in the American Legion Sutter Terlizzi Post #16 in Shelton, serving as Past Commander and was always first to support and honor fellow Post members. He is the beloved father of Joseph Haveran and his wife, Lisa, and Lisa Haveran. He also leaves five cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Kyler, Brandon, Benjamin, and Brooke; a brother, Dr. Albert Sheehy; a sister, Gloria Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John Sheehy, and a sister, Gloria Finer. Friends are invited to greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. On Thursday, his funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 Noon. Burial will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery. At the request of the family, contributions can be made to the American Legion Sutter Terlizzi Post #16, PO Box 133, Shelton, CT 06484.
