Ruby C. Walden of Stockbridge departed this earth to be with her Lord and Savior in her heavenly home Sunday, March 7, 2010. Ruby was received there by many that had gone before her. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jackie Chapman, her husband of 55 years, Fred E. Walden, and all of her sisters and brothers. Ruby was a life long member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake City. Ruby is survived by her children, Freda W. Sheppard (Walter) of Stockbridge and Phillip E. Walden (Polly) of Concord; grandchildren, Chad E. Sheppard, Kristina and Toni Walden; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:30 pm at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, 5320 Phillips Dr., Lake City, Ga. 30260. Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors, Morrow in charge of arrangements. 770-961-2828.
