Annie Tate, 87, of Keota died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and the widow of Alonzo H. Tate. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel of Stigler with burial at Keota Cemetery in Keota. She is survived by a daughter, Zoe Cross of Stigler; two sons, Lyndon Tate of Mansfield and Roger Tate of Stigler; two sisters, Oleene Phipps and Valdean McMichael; two brothers, Wayne Ballew and Roy Ballew; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Harding Tate; her parents; Sylvia Ray and Bonnie Ballew; four sisters, Leota Jarvis, Leola Williams, Lavera Vest, and Burta Mugler; and one brother, Ardie Ray Ballew. Pallbearers will be Gary Corder, Charles Mills, Ray Jordan, Bud Cole, Lewis Hamm and Jimmy Scrivener.
