Leonard O. Apps, 56, Dies in Hospital
Leonard O. Apps, 56, of 639 Cook Avenue, a former owner of the Thunderbird Lodge, died in a Billings hospital Sunday.
Mr. Apps was born Sept. 21, 1906, in Fillmore, Saskatchwan, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Apps. He married Esther Klein Sept. 22, 1950, in Sheridan, Wyo.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Apps had lived in BIllings since his discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1945. He was a member of Eagles lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include the widow; one son, . . . ; one daughter, . . . ; one step-son, . . . ; three stepdaughters, . . . ; seven sisters, Mrs. Henry Cochrane, Mrs. Harold Thompson, Mrs. Violet Derman, all of Saskatchewan, Mrs. Albert Funk of Ontario, Mrs. Mark Handy of Larimore, N.D., Mrs. Ada Thera of Manitoba, Miss Beatrice Apps of British Columbia; two grandchildren, and 11 step-grandchildren.
The body is at Smith's Funeral Home.
