Mr. David L. Sanders, age 75, of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away Feb. 11, 2008, in Pascagoula. He was born May 11, 1932, in Attala County, Miss. He retired from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and was a member of Masonic Lodge 419 of Pascagoula.

Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Dell Sanders; father, Johnny L. Sanders; six brothers, Billy, Louie, Donald, James (Stubby), Barney and George Sanders; a sister, Shirley Sanders and two infants.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel Sanders, of Pascagoula, Miss.; two sons and daughters-in-law, David (Ricky) and Judy Sanders, of Pascagoula; Randy L. and Deanna Sanders, of Pascagoula; six grandchildren, David D. Sanders, Joseph D. Sanders, Michael P. Sanders, Brandon San-ders, Haley Sanders and Jonathan Sanders; four great grandchildren, Stephanie, Melanie, Zachary and Arin Sanders; two sisters, Nell Puckett of Pearl, Miss. and Margaret (Jim) O'Neal, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Holder- Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Murphy and Rev. Jerry Reed officiating.

Members of the Pascagoula Masonic Lodge will conclude the service at the funeral home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Doty Springs Baptist Church in Kosciusko, Miss.

Friends may call one hour prior to service time.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
