Mrs. Elsie Redding, 84, 107 Dewey St., died at her home at 7 a.m. today after an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Carlisle funeral Home with the Rev. Christian W. Kocher, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from Sunday afternoon.
A life long resident of the community, Mrs. Redding was born at Waterford, July 22, 1877, the daughter of Zeb and Catherine Palmer. On April 16, 1902, she was married here to Frank Redding, who survives.
She was an active member of the First Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teach for many years. She was a member of the Loyal Women's Bible Class, the Golden Age Circle, the Women's Society for Christian Service, Woman's Study Club, Monday, Musicale and was a past president of the Calendar club.
Also surviving are three sons, Milo, this city, Gerald, Indianapolis, Ind., and Harlow, Lakeview, Mich.; a daughter Mrs. Lois Wellington Allaway, Oak Park, Ill., six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Redding, 84, who died in her home at 107 Dewey St. yesterday, will be in the First Methodist Church instead of the Carlisle Funeral Home, it was announced today.
The Carlisle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends may call there from tomorrow afternoon until 10 a.m. Monday.
Pallbearers at the funeral will be Milo, Gerald, Harlow and Frank Redding, and Wellington and James Allaway.
