Bessie E. FISHER, 93, a resident of Homewood Retirement Center,Martinsburg, formerly of James Creek, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001. Born April 6, 1907, in Riddlesburg, she was a daughter of Avery and Mary Stapleton Baker. She was united in marriage to David P Fisher May 31, 1935, in Altoona. He preceded her in death May 28, 1983. One son, James R. Fisher, of Colonial Beach, Fla., survives. Two brothers, Ed Baker of South Carolina, and Avery "Jack" Baker of Huntingdon,
survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Baker, and a sister, Phyllis Tanner.
