MARLIN LEROY EDWARDS
MAY 19,1912 - MAR 27, 1985

Marlin LeRoy Edwards, 72, of 3810 S. E. Fifteenth St., Des Moines, Iowa, died of a respiratory ailment, Wednesday May 27, 1985, at Mesa General Hospital, Mesa, AZ., where he resided during the winter.

Services held in Des Moines at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Further services were held at United Methodist Church in Shelby, Iowa with burial in the Shelby town cemetery.

Survivors included his second wife, Nelda Natterstad Erickson Edwards; a son Craig D Edwards of Boone; three stepsons, Edward Erickson of Evanston, IL., Don Erickson of Des Moines, IA and Larry Erickson of Tacoma, WA; two sisters Vera Edwards Long of Shelby, IA and Edith Edward Ringgenberg of Sioux City, IA. He was preceded in death of his first wife, Alma, and his parents.

Mr Edwards was born in Harrison, County IA and resided in Shelby 24 years and lived in Des Moines the past 48 years. He was a retired maintenance mechanic at a meat packing plant and was a member of the Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Des Moines.
