Mrs. W. J. Dryden
Mrs. Maude Phillips Dryden, 92, formerly of 1114 E. Main St., died Monday in the Springhill Sanitarium Inc. after a long illness. Her husband, Walter J. Dryden, who died in 1940, was the founder of the former Dryden Cab Co. in 1902.

Mrs. Dryden was born in Wicomico County and a daughter of the late Major and Belle Wimbrow Phillips. She was a member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a son Clifford P. Dryden, Salisbury; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wicomico Presbyterian Church with the pastor, the Rev. James H. Lappen, officiating. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery.
