A LIFE REMEMBERED.....
Carolyn M. Corbin, 74, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Altoona Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Carolyn was born in Des Moines, Ia., to Ell and Helen (Lamb) Myer.
She married LeRoy Corbin on September 22, 1951, and with him made a home for their 10 children. Rodney, Cheryl, LeRoy Jr., Randy, Sharon, Russell, Ronald, Bobby, Deanna, and Rick Corbin.
After LeRoy, Sr.'s retirement from Armstrong, they worked together at the Iowa State Fairgrounds from 1996-2001.
Carolyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games and bingo. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church and past president of the McKee Elementary PTA.
Left to cherish Carolyn's memory are her husband, LeRoy, Sr.; ten children, LeRoy, Jr. (Jean E.), Rodney (Joei), Cheryl Buch, Randy (Linda), Sharon (Jack) Keller, Russell, Ronald, Sr., Bobby (Teresa), Deanna Zepeda, and Rick (Diana); 37 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Luish Myer and granddaughter, Paige Miracle Keller.
Memorial contributions are being directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
