Ruby Lee Renegar was born November 6, 1910 in Carter County, Oklahoma; one of five children born to the ranch family of Charles Swindin Renegar and Katie (Bennett) Renegar. All five of the Renegar children were girls. Ruby referred to herself as her dad's cowboy because starting at the age of five she rode a horse, held up a one row planter pulled by a mule and did everything just like her dad did. She attended school at Nebo which was a two mile walk. Ruby married Frances E. Butler in 1927 and four children were born to that union. She married George W. Beasley, a dairy farmer, in 1946. They shared 44 years of marriage and she gained two step daughters. Ruby had 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 37 great-great grandchildren. When Ruby was asked why she thought she had lived so long she replied "It was work". "I've worked hard all my life".
Ruby Lee (Renegar) Butler-Beasley was inducted into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame on the occasion of her 110th birthday. Being 110 years of age she was inducted as a "Super Centenarian". She lived 110 years and two months.
