Colonel Frank Moore BUTLER, 1793-1827, was son of Brigadier General William BUTLER, 1759-1821, and of his wife, Behethland Foote Moore, 1764-1853, late of Edgefield County, South Carolina, USA.

Colonel Frank Moore BUTLER, 1793-1827, was grandson of American Revolutionary War Patriot Captain James BUTLER, Sr., 1737-1781, killed November 7, 1781, in Clouds Creek Massacre, and of his wife, Mary Elizabeth Foote SIMPSON BUTLER, 1738-1785.

Frank Moore Butler, 1793-1827, was married at least twice; he married second Louise Adeline FORD, 1796-1826, and last, Mary ----- . In his will, dated October 26, 1827, he enumerates his '...wife, Mary...' with legacies.

Of his marriage to Louise Adeline FORD, 1796-1826, four (4) children are known:
