Funeral services for Doyle Swan Holloway, 94, of Wedowee, will be held today at 3 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Holloway passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Lineville Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Holloway is survived by two daughters, Martha (Wendell) Morrison, of Wedowee and Deborah (Alan) Rhoden, of Boaz; two sons, Gary (Judy) Holloway, of Roanoke and Ronald (Beverly) Holloway, of Wedowee; two sisters, Cordell Adamson, of Wedowee and Retha Daniel, of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild. Mr. Holloway was born May 16, 1917 the son of Pleasant W. and Myrtle Bailey Holloway. He was a self employed Farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; an infant son Wade Holloway; seven brothers and three sisters. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home today from 1 till 3 p.m. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of the arrangements.
