(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Mattie Kay Holloway, 90, of Wedowee will be Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Darren Anglin and Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Holloway died Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Lineville Health and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Holloway was born Nov. 22, 1920, the daughter of Milford and Lola McKay Wallace. She was a self-employed homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Holloway is survived by her husband, Doyle S. Holloway of Wedowee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Wendell Morrison of Wedowee and Deborah and Alan Rhoden of Boaz; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Judy Holloway of Roanoke and Ronald and Beverly Holloway of Wedowee; three sisters, Lillie Mae Browning of Rabun Gap, Ga., Foy Saxon of Graham and Jessie Cobb of Wedowee; four brothers, Hilton Wallace of Roanoke, Bob Wallace of Oklahoma, Rex Wallace of Newell and Wayne Wallace of Northport; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Wade Holloway; four sisters, Norma Weldon, Sue Waldrop, Faye Holloway and Betty Wallace; and one brother Joe Wallace.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons.
