Freelove married Nelson Burgess Hester 09 Apr 1848 in Hamilton Co.,IN. After their marriage and three daughters later the little family in one of the wagons that came so long ago to southern Iowa was headed by Nelson Hester, accompanied by his wife Freelove and three little girls. The oldest Mary Elizabeth, Melissa Jane and Nancy Emmaline [Emma]. Freelove died in 1858 or 1859. A record of her death has never been found. Nelson married again in June of 1859 to E. R. Brown. E. R. must have died or left as in the 1860 census he was alone with the three girls.
