Hill, Ontario, August 17, 1962, and
when a young man with his parents
moved to Michigan and settled
on a farm in Evergreen township.
Here Robert and his two brothers
Thomas and Isaac, engaged
in farming and lumbering, later
going Into the thrashing business
in which they served a large
territory for years.
In 1904, an accident resulted in
the loss of a limb and Robert with
his brother, Isaac came to Cass
City, where they started a livery
and feed barn and operated it for
twenty years.
He was united in marriage with
Miss Mary Ann Gage June 15, 1896
at Sandusky.
Mr. Agar has been poorly for
some time and passed away Saturday
morning, Dec 28 at his home
on North Seeger street. Funeral
services were held Monday after-
noon from the home. Rev. P. J.
Allured officiated and burial was
in Novena Cemetery.
Besides his widow be is survived
by five children, Mrs. Paul Hartwick
of Wickware, Robert Agar Jr
and Willard Agar of Cass City,
Max Agar of Caro, and Mrs. Mlldred
Nicol of Marlette, one brother
Jonathan Agar, of Colling, and two
sisters, Mrs. Frank Auslander of
Evergreen and Mrs. Frank McGregory
of Cass City. He also leaves ten
grandchildren.
