Helen Irene Agar, 87, of Cass City, died Wednesday, Aug. 25,2004 at her home. She was born Jan. 24, 1917 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Elisha and Estelle (Gage) Randall. She married Willard William Agar in 1934. He died Jan. 29, 1966. Agar owned Helm Beauty Salon for 40 years. She was president of the Zonta Club and a member of the Creative Writing Club and O.E.S. of Cass City.
Agar is survived by two children: Joyce Walpole of Godfrey, Ill., and Mary Ann Opanasenko of Cass City; six grandchildren; 1 1 great grandchildren; and a sister, Millie Mark of Cass City.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 28, at the First Presbyterian Church of Cass City, with the Rev. David Blackburn officiating. Burial was in the Novesta Township Cemetery.
