Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 29th at 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for James F. Dehn age 67 of St. Joseph formerly of St. Cloud who died on Monday at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long struggle with emphysema. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Entombment will be in Assumption Mausoleum. Friends may call on Thursday between 4:00-9:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Friday one hour prior to services at the church. Eagles Aerie # 622 will pray at 6:30 PM followed by the Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM.
James was born March 21st 1938 in St. Cloud to Frank and Marie (Himsl) Dehn. He married Nelda Larson on January 21st 1956 in St. Cloud. He was employed by Tradehome Shoes from 1957 thru 1982, managing stores in Superior WI, Fergus Falls, MN, Ottumwa IA, and St. Cloud. He later worked in Security at the Monticello and Becker Power Plants from 1983 to 1992. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church prior to moving to St. Joseph three weeks ago, and Eagles Aerie # 622.
He will be forever remembered for his artistic abilities, love of animals especially his dog Bobby Boy and the outdoors. He was an avid antique collector.
Survivors: his wife, Nelda, two daughters, Lila Kremers St. Cloud (Jeff), Laura Winkelman, St. Cloud (Keith Kerfeld), grandchildren Heather and Christopher, brother; Dr. Thomas Dehn, Eldorado Hills, CA., sister: Valerie Butkowski, St. Cloud (Gary).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred to the American Lung Assn., Tri County Humane Society, or Anna Marie's Shelter.
