Mr. Skinner went to be with his Lord Friday morning, March 12, at his residence.
A native of Longview, Charles was born August 26, 1946 to the late Lloyd and Arleta Whatley Skinner. He retired from Strohs Brewery and was a quality control technician. Charles loved living at Lake Cherokee, where he was a member of the Lake Cherokee Fishing Club and served on its Board. He was a very active member of Centre Presbyterian Church and had served as an Elder.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gwen, son: Scott Skinner of Dallas, daughter: Olivia Gideon and husband Rai of Longview, grandchildren: Kaylee, Abbey, Brady and Zoey Gideon and Sophie and Paisley Skinner, brothers: Arnold Skinner and wife Laura, Jerry Skinner and wife Betty, and Mike Skinner and wife Eddice, all of Longview, sister-in-law: Myrtle Skinner and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family request those desiring to may make memorial contributions to Hiway 80 Rescue Mission.
