Son of Henry Grantham and Mary Shortes.

Husband of Oma Fayrene "Fay" Wood. They were married on November 16, 1927 in Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.

Father of Donald Lee Grantham and Girlene Grantham Bowlin.

He moved to Howard County, Texas in 1921 and had been a farmer and an implement dealer for 18 years.

He was also involved in oil exploration.

He died from injuries sustained in a traffic accident which occurred at the intersection of Third and Scurry in Big Spring. The driver of the vehicle that struck him was indicted for manslaughter for failure to yield the right of way. He was convicted and sentenced to five years in prison.

He was a good man.

I remember when I was about seven or eight years old he and Aunt Fay took my dad, mom, brother and me to see a bull fight in Mexico.
