MARTHA BERRYMAN BAXTER, 68, Louisville, a native of Washington County, died at 11 a.m., Sunday, March 17, 1996, at Audubon Regional Medical Center. Born July 21, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Mary Badgett O'Bryan. Survivors include her husband, George Baxter; one son, Michael Berryman, Louisville; three daughters, Phyllis Riggs and Debbie Fischer, both of Louisville, and Mary Faust of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Kitty Head and Judy Barton, both of Louisville; five step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter. Also, five brothers, Bernard O'Bryan and Buddy O'Bryan, both of Springfield, Joe M. O'Bryan, Bardstown, Fred O'Bryan, Jeffersontown, and Bill O'Bryan, Salem, Illinois; three sisters, Shirley Cissell, Louisville, Jane Bradshaw, Springfield, and Chris Ray of Danville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Berryman and four brothers, Matthew O'Bryan, T.W. O'Bryan, Jr., Foster O'Bryan and R.C. "Bob" O'Bryan. Funeral mass will be today, March 20, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville. Serving as pallbearers will be the nephews. Emory Bosse Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
