James R. Hyde

James R. Hyde, 81, of 1241 W. CR 500 S., Warsaw, died at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15, 1991, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw, after an extended illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1909, in Packerton, to Jesse G. and Anna L. Coon Hyde. On March 19, 1945, in Akron, he married Evelyn Hatfield, who survives. He worked for Zimmer USA as punch press operator from 1948 until his retirment in 1975. A lifetime resident of the Warsaw area, he was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church and John C. Peterson Post American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Other survivors include two daughters, Sharon Oldfather, Warsaw and Mrs. Tom R. (Christine) Heckman, Pierceton; one son, Barry J. Hyde, Warsaw; and seven grandchildren. Six brothers are deceased. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday will be in Chamness Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Norman Nellis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
