Mark A. Bear, 52, of Oak Harbor, OH died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born October 28, 1957 in Elliston, OH to the late Raymond and Kathryn (Burow) Bear, Sr. He was a 1976 graduate of Genoa Area High School. On June 6, 1980 he married the former Brenda Williams and she survives. Mark worked at Fenner Dunlop in Oak Harbor, was honorably discharged from the Tracy Road Armory National Guard. He was a member of the Oak Harbor Alliance Chapel. Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers-in-law and father-in-law, camping, family get-togethers, and his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Brenda; children, Marcus Bear (Courtney), Stacy Bear (Greg), Shawna Bear (Jacob) all of Oak Harbor; sisters, Kathryn Bear of Toledo, OH, Amy Bear of Port Clinton, OH; grandchildren, Danae and Amery Karshuk, and Kayden Burroughs; mother-in-law, Judy Williams of Oak Harbor; sister-in-law, Dawn Atwater; and brothers-in- law: David Williams and Charles "Skeeter" Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Raymond Bear, Jr.; father-in-law, Charles Williams. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-9 P.M. at the Crosser Funeral Home, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oak Harbor Alliance Chapel with the Rev. Clint Hayslett officiating. Interment will be in Elliston Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to: The Oak Harbor Alliance Chapel, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or Carroll Township E.M.S. Mark's would like to thank his co-workers at Fenner Dunlop, employees at the Benton-Carroll-Salem Transportation Department, other family members and friends for their prayers and support.
