JohnAnne Hoye Bishop. A soul whose happiest times in life were spent sitting at a music stand, passed this life June 8, 2004, in Elyria, Ohio. She was born January 5, 1918, in Guthrie, OK to Elijah Vann and Minna B. Bishop. JohnAnne graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Fine Arts Degree, majoring in viola. JohnAnne taught stringed instruments in the Oklahoma City Public School system for many years. She also instructed many students privately, as well as occasionally playing in the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra. Upon retirement from the Public School System, JohnAnne embarked on a second career and was for many years a certified Psychometrist. In 1986, JohnAnne moved to Elyria, Ohio, to be with her daughter, where she resided until her death. JohnAnne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, a son Kraig, and a grandson Kurt. She is survived by her daughter, Kara Bailey, two grandchildren Brandon and Brianna of Ohio; son, K.B. Kueteman, and wife Anne; granddaughter Christina of OKC; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services Saturday, June 12, 2PM at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Baggerley Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
